EuroCup 512-player Starcraft 2 Tournament October 9th  | read this item

Normally, when we see Starcraft 2 tournaments posted, they’re usually restricted to the North American Battlenet servers. This is especially true for tournaments of this scope. However, this one is special. This upcoming Starcraft 2 Tournament is for the Europeans.

This is the Zowie Gear EuroCup. A 512-player tournament for European players. Starting next saturday at 5pm CET, this is a single-elimination BO1/Bo3 split tournament. In addition, there are some prizes. Second and Third place are getting hooked up with some Mousepads while first place gets a Headset, a mousepad, and a gaming contract with Playzone.

Good luck to all of you awesome players on the east side of the Atlantic. Now, here’s the details for the tournament:

When: Saturday October 9th, 17:00 CET start time.
Where: Bnet 2.0 EUROPE Server
Format: 512-player BO1 single elimination, Bo3 for Semis + Final

Map Sets:
Steppes (Ro512), Delta Quadrant (Ro256),
Xel Naga (Ro128), Blistering Sands (Ro64),
Lost Temple (Ro32), Kulas (Ro16), Desert Oasis (Ro8),
Metalopolis (Semis, loser chooses), Lost Temple (Final, loser choose)

Prizes:

Rules:
* No hacking, cheating, etc, will be tolerated.
* Observers are only allowed if both players agree.
* Replays from the Ro8 onward must be saved and emailed to xeris@gosucoaching.com
* Disconnects 2 minutes in will result in a re-game, disconnects after 5 minutes will be judged by an admin
